^ TOPBACKGROUND INFORMATION

The 2010 mHealth Summit will bring together leaders enabling cutting-edge research, evidenced-based practice, and innovative policy solutions to advance the benefits mobile technology can bring to the health and well being of developed and developing world populations.

Research Presentations

The 2010 mHealth Summit seeks abstracts for Presentations from the public and private sectors to highlight ground-breaking health research, information and communication technologies, systems architecture and global partnerships that leverage mobile technology to improve global health outcomes. In your presentation you may discuss the use of wireless devices, software, systems architecture that support the delivery of health services and the development of sustainable and scalable mHealth solutions both in the U.S. and internationally. Relevant technologies include: mobile phones, smart phones, global positioning systems (GPS), personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile electronic sensors (e.g., accelerometers), portable physiological sensors (e.g., ambulatory glucose monitors), integrated mobile devices, and other mobile wireless technologies.

All submissions will be reviewed by the planning committee and may be accepted for either an oral/paper presentation or a poster presentation. Presentations will be grouped thematically in tracks, presented as moderated sessions, and are expected to last 12 minutes with additional time for a Q&A session. Some presentations will be integrated into planned plenary sessions.

Research Technology Demonstrations

We are also seeking abstracts for research technology demonstration sessions for the 2010 mHealth Summit. Relevant technologies include: mobile phones, smart phones, mobile phone apps, global positioning systems (GPS), personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile electronic sensors (e.g., accelerometers), portable physiological sensors (e.g., ambulatory glucose monitors), mobile environmental sensors, integrated mobile devices, and other wireless technologies.

Technologies must have a demonstrated health research application, and be alpha/beta prototypes or available to consumers free of charge. Commercially available technology are not eligible for this technology demonstration session, but can be shown on the exhibit floor (contact: Bonnie Knight; bknight@fnih.org) for additional information. All submissions will be reviewed by the planning committee for inclusion at the 2010 mHealth Summit.
